Abstract
In 2017, as a study to discover indigenous prokaryotic speciesin Korea, a total of 6 bacterial strains assigned to the genusPseudomonas were isolated from soil. From the high 16SrRNA gene sequence similarity (¡Ã 99.5%) and phylogeneticanalysis with closely related species, the isolated strains wereidentified as independent Pseudomonas species which wereunrecorded in Korea. The six Pseudomonas species werePseudomonas mandelii, P. canadensis, P. thivervalensis, P. jessenii, P. lurida, and P. brenneri. Gram reaction, cultureconditions, colony and cell morphology, basic physiologicaland biochemical characteristics are described in the speciesdescription section.
